Cafe/Foodhopping #01

Wanted to consolidate all the places i went to recently into a post, hahaha.

Sunday Folks
@ Chip Bee Gardens.

Super love this place, but it's freaking crowded on the sunday night i went.

They only sell dessert and drinks but they can be so crowded, simply cause they are really good!
Love the sea salt gula meleka ice cream + waffles. I really love the black cone that was under the ice cream, i'll prolly go back for it and try the earl grey lavender ice cream next time! Not to mention i love the japanese dango + green tea nama choc!

chamomile's april's fave, and earl grey lavender's mine! Super love the table ware.

Forgot the name of this japanese restaurant @ Suntec. hahah.
Ordered potato salad to share, it was good!

My forgot-what-is-it-called. Japanese paper hotpot. LOL, but its not that great, taste so-so and small portion.

The Assembly Ground @ Cathay.
I had the pulled pork sandwich, it was pretty good! Didn't ordered any drinks though.

I love the interior also!

Sushi bar @ FEP.
No need to say anything, everyone know how yummy their stuffs is. haha. My must have at any japanese place, chawanmushi!

Finally tried the scalloppppp! Damn yums.

All Time Fave salmon aburi! The Ebi Aburi has more crunch to it and i love that as well!

Javiers @ City Square.
Our quarter chicken with free flow of sides/soups/desserts!

i love their interior!!

The Soup Spoon.
Wanted to try their limited Samgyetang and kimchi dubu dwenjjang jigae. Both are so-so since i prefer them to be served boiling hot. I asked them to heat up for me but it's still not hot enough. LOL. I kinda prefer i12 Katong Food republic's son dubu and their samgyetang! The bestest i had in SG Imo, cheap and good.

The Tuckshop @ Gulliemard Rd.
Went back craving for their awesome menu like carrot cake, clams in white wine and bellini cocktails but sadly they removed all the stuffs we love from the menu! Damn..

Had cookie ice cream sandwich, the cookie had a bit of dough taste..? LOL.

And Ciders to accompany us for the night.

Toby's Estate @ Rodyk Street.
Took us long time to find this place! Blame our bad direction sense, lol. after we left we realized we walked the longer side of the road and turn one big round from the right, when its just on the left!!! FUUU..

Anyway it was a very hot day, and we were seated outside for awhile before we get to move indoors.
I was expecting some pretty coffee art on Agnes's latte but lol.... Apparently they didnt do it here. That's my ice chocolate btw.

Her banana something toast which comes with ice cream and bacon. :O Tasted abit sweet for me. I think they change their menu once in awhile, because i went to browse ig and some of the pics i see don't seem like what's written in the menu.

i love the interior though! Good place to chill at on a weekend!

My "hangover cure'' which was also so-so. Consist of some pork meat, poache eggs, tomatoes, avocado, and wraps.

La Marelle Cafe @ Baghdad Street.

i love both the exterior and interior of this cafe. It is known that nowadays cafes put in extra effort for their interior to make them more instagram-worthy. LOL. They are open by Malay but they are not halal certified i heard. But anyways, there were many malays having their meals there!

seeee how cute the interior is!

They are also selling some bags and other items,

After some of my editing skills.. haha.

Can't say much since we only ordered drinks. I was pretty bloated so no more room for food. The cakes are pretty ex for a little cafe like this. (mostly $8 and above). The drinks we ordered are also $7-$8ish. My drink was good since im really thirsty, lol. The one agnes ordered was some passion fruit tea thingy, tasted mediocre. She didnt like the cafe at all. LOL, but i still love the look and feel of the cafe at least, hahaha.

Miam Miam @ bugis junction.

Green tea latte to share! yums!

my usual squid ink rice.

and her curry rice. didn't know that fluffy lump is actually egg!

Tsujiri @ 313 Somerset

Super love this for their rich green tea taste, especially me being a major matcha fan!

us on a day out to shopping!

Have to admit nowadays some places only look nice and food only look nice instead of taste nice. Even the place i choose to go, i judge based on the presentation of the food and the look of the place because interior is one of the factor that attracts me. hahaha, but of course i won't be bias and say the food is nice when it is apparently not. They are not Awful food but just not worth a second visit because we are just paying for the 'reno fee' of the places. LOL.

Lastly, L32 mee hoon kueh, probably the most non-photogenic food with the longest waiting time and at a hot and stuffy venue but it is the cheapest of them all and i won't mind all that wait and eat it over and over again! LOL.
