Cafe/Foodhopping #02

Time for another cafe/hopping post!

Wa Cafe (渡邊珈琲店) @ Chinatown point
Went there for the TOAST after i saw it on instagram.

But because i did not had dinner yet so i ordered the salmon baked rice. OOOH, It was MAJOR YUMZ. Super hot which i like, and the rice and cheese together was gluey and moist. loveee it!

Then.. i was super excited about the toast. i even finish the baked rice very fast. LOLZ... It was quite meh. I wont say its not nice, its just not unique and not worth the price. $17++ for this. April was very worked up and very pissed off when she tasted it caused she feel irritated that she is paying this kind of price for bread and ice cream. LOL.. well it's just all about exploring and trying. Yes, its pretty normal and i prolly wont go back ever again, but trying it was fine though i agree it is quite ex. DK Why that user who upload this in ig says its very nice.. oh my tian.. apparently the person have not tried after you or dazzling cafe i guess, lol.

The Rice Table @ Orchard Road

Quite a unique type of buffet serving indonesian food. Didn't knew bout them till my boss bring us there. hahaha. The Dinner buffet menu includes 19 types of dishes and they will all be served together (unless there's anything you dont like in the menu) on this metal tray which has candles burning below to keep the food warm.

OOh i love it. especially the chicken wings, curry, chicken something. okay, i can't remember the names of all the dishes but most of the dishes were nice! and to prevent wastage, they only allow you to order one portion for each dishes everytime. 8 of us had all of the 19 dishes + additional top up of 5 of the dishes and we were all super full!

llaollao !!

No need talk about this, haha, been hooked onto it ever since i tried it!!!!! I always go buy if i have a chance to or happen to be near! Though i really hate the queue at Somerset. Marina square waiting time is slightly shorter for weekdays NON PEAK Hours. yes.. even on a tuesday at somerset, the queue is crazy i tell you.

actually the sanum is quite sweet for me, and super filling. therefore sometimes i just order the pure yoghurt with 1 or 2 toppings!

Nam's @ Far East Square

been wanting to try this! At first i thought it was at bkk only. LOL. Their opening hours is very short due to it being at cbd area. wanted to go on sunday but they were closed. Went again another time on saturday (they close at 6). The Original thai tea ($2.30) was so-so, can't beat the one at Golden mile!

The Toast was pretty good and considered decent price at $7.90. wanted the matcha ice cream combi but not available!

Superstar k @ Tanjong Pagar.

This was a random decision when april and me walked past some korean restaurants at cbd area and had a sudden urge to eat korean food. woots. i love the dwenjjang jigae cause it spicy! but the ingredients inside are quite pathetic. Also, the steam egg on the left was FOC and its da best steam egg i ever tasted!!!

Sunday folks again!
We were at holland V area and decided to pop by for their ice cream! the queue was insane and waiting time was 1 hour just to eat desserts, so we all ordered the cone ice cream instead.

pretty much expensive for ice cream. $10+ if you add topping. but i wanted to try the cone version! i added japanese dango and happy added the seasalt chocolate honey comb. Love it! I ordered the earl grey lavender this time and i prefer it much more than the seasalt gula meleka one! Again april is very pissed she keep saying the soft serve should be higher. Dots.......  since when sia... i  think she is expecting those in taiwan one.... LOL.....

there's cornflakes at the bottom of the cone, yummy!! but everything melted towards the end. lol.

Mookata again and will never get sick of it. HAHAHA.
FYI, this is how a designer student bbq their enoki mushrooms. Presentation is important, LOL.

Ok, till then!
